What is a “Direct Repair Shop”?
The Collision Center is an approved “direct repair facility” by most insurance companies. We must meet strict certification requirements, be equipped to repair today’s complex vehicles and hold a record of satisfied customers. When you select our direct repair facility, the entire process is streamlined. We handle all of the paperwork.
Where Do I Get a Claim Number?
Your insurance company issues a claim number at the time you report the accident. Bring the number when you come in to begin the repair process.
Do I Need an Appointment for an Estimate? How Long Will It Take? Is There a Cost?
Estimates are free and normally require only 20 minutes. Click here to submit photos for an easy and convenient online estimate. If you prefer a written estimate, simply phone 570-748-MEND (6363) to schedule an appointment or visit our office.
Do I Need Multiple Estimates?
No. Drivers “at fault” who must pay out-of-pocket may wish to obtain more than one estimate.
Where Do I Find a Rental Car?
Next door at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. And, we’ll schedule your rental for you. Ask about a free pickup. Verify that your insurance carrier covers rental car expenses.
Will Parts be Ordered Before I Leave My Vehicle for Repair?
Yes. Parts are normally ordered on the day we write the estimate.
If the Vehicle Frame is Damaged, is it a Total Loss?
No. A “total loss” occurs only if your insurance company determines the value of your vehicle is less than the cost of repairs. Today, most cars are built using unibody (frame and body as one) construction. Our highly-skilled technicians, with the aid of our state-of-the-art laser measuring system, may be able to return your vehicle to its original factory specifications.
Can You Match the Paint Color?
Yes. Today’s finishes incorporate multiple layers of highly specialized paint. We take special pride in our ability to match factory finishes as a final step in the restoration process.
How Long Do Repairs Take?
It will depend on the extent of the damage, availability of parts and your insurance adjuster’s timeliness.
Do I Pay a Deductible?
Any deductible is determined under your insurance policy. If you have any questions regarding coverage, contact your agent.
To Whom Should I Pay My Deductible?
If your deductible is not waived, it will become your responsibility to pay The Collision Center.
